Chef's Wok Set

The complaint with woks on induction is always the same: the pan doesn't get hot enough, or the non-stick coating starts peeling after a few months. The Shirane is carbon steel with a flat, magnetic base. It works on induction, and just as well on gas, electric and ceramic hobs. No non-stick coating, no PTFE, no PFAS. Just carbon steel.

Why carbon steel works on induction

Carbon steel heats up fast and holds that heat evenly, even on a narrow induction zone. With use, the pan naturally builds up a patina: a seasoning layer that releases food more and more easily, without ever needing a non-stick coating. That layer protects the steel and improves with every meal. Washing by hand is all it takes, and keeps the patina intact.

No coating also means no worries about flakes ending up in your food. The carbon steel complies with Regulation (EU) 1935/2004 on materials in contact with food. One thing to know upfront: the wok needs to be seasoned once before first use. After that, you'll cook with it daily for years.

Fried rice, curry or a quick stir-fry

With its high sides and the wooden lid, you can go in any direction. Stir-fry over high heat, simmer with the lid on, or quickly sauté some vegetables. The digital recipe books get you started with classic Japanese dishes and quick Asian meals for busy evenings.

I don't have a tracking number, how can I get it ?

If you haven't received your tracking number, it could be for one of the following reasons:

  3. You might have accidentally deleted the order confirmation email, in which case it should be in your email's trash folder.

My order is incomplete, where are the missing items ?

If you've received your order with items missing, there are two possible reasons:

  1. We sent your items separately due to weight, size, or available stock reasons. Thank you for your patience, the rest of your order will arrive shortly!
  2. The remainder of your order was misplaced by the carrier, in which case please contact us via our contact form.

Please note that in 90% of cases, the missing products are delivered on average 5 to 7 days after the delivery of the first item.
