The Kaikoma Wok Pan

Designed for ceramic cooktops and just as at home on induction, gas, and electric hobs. The Kaikoma has a flat base that makes stable, full contact with your hob, even on the smaller induction zones of modern cooktops. Carbon steel is naturally magnetic, so induction detects it instantly. One wok for every hob in your kitchen.

Traditional carbon steel — no coating, no PFAS

The Kaikoma is made from solid 1.3 mm carbon steel, with no non-stick coating, no PTFE, no PFAS. After seasoning, a natural patina forms: a layer you build yourself that gets stronger with every use. The more you cook, the better it cooks — an age-old principle of carbon steel pans, not a marketing term.

There's no coating to wear down or flake off, and therefore no particles that could scratch your ceramic hob. The carbon steel body spreads heat across the whole base for even cooking.

The cherry wood handle

The handle is made of cherry wood: it doesn't slip and conducts little heat, so you can lift the wok safely while stir-frying over high heat. At 1.15 kg the wok stays light enough to lift and toss one-handed, even during longer cooking sessions. Not oven-safe due to the wooden handle.

Seasoning: once, thoroughly

This wok needs to be seasoned before first use. It's simple, and only needs to be done thoroughly once. After that, maintenance is minimal: rinse briefly with warm water after use, pat dry, and rub with a thin layer of oil. Not dishwasher-safe — it strips the patina you've built up.
