Nitrided iron is the core of this set. The thermochemical treatment hardens the surface and creates natural non-stick properties without any chemical coating, PTFE or PFOA. You can use metal spatulas and steel wool without scratching the pans, which is unusual for non-stick cookware. The thickened concentric-ring alloy base spreads heat quickly and evenly, and the one-piece construction with riveted wooden handles holds up to demanding daily use. Works on gas, induction and standard hobs. For care, wash in hot water and dry immediately with a tea towel. Not dishwasher safe.
